INSURANCE FAQ

​Automotive collisions are traumatic, stressful, and confusing. Don’t forget the endless paperwork. 

Berks Auto Collision is first worried about your well being.   Our staff is there to help ease the situation and make the experience more convenient by assisting you from start to finish.    We will work directly with your insurance company to setup your claim and arrange an rental car to be at our facility ready for you. If your car is not drivable we work with many local towing companies.   We are there to help you through the whole process.   We moved to our new facility in September 2016 and we have arranged our office to make you feel at home in our comfortable waiting area.  When you walk through our front door you will be greeted by one of our friendly knowledgeable staff.  We will guide you through the steps and ensure you are comfortable with the process.   We have also added additional offices so that your insurance company or rental company has an office to work in while they assess the damage and setup a repair plan and process to get your car back to its original state.   We want to make sure your insurance company is very comfortable at our facility as well as they work with us to ensure your car is repaired to manufacturer specs for safety and longevity.   We have utilized our quality of work and customer satisfaction to develop a confident and trusting relationship with several insurance companies.  That means that we work together and we are authorized to inspect and setup a repair plan with our in house estimator to ensure a faster and more convenient experience.

Insurance FAQ

​Am I restricted to specific repair shops?

No, some insurance companies may choose a specific body shop for you, but don't worry. You are free to pick the shop where you want your vehicle repaired. When picking a collision repair facility, be sure the shop has the proper equipment and training to service your car correctly following the Original Equipment Manufacturer, OEM, guidelines. Don't get caught with businesses that have poor service and trust. ​

Will you work with my insurance company?

Berks Auto Collision Center has relationships with most insurance companies but we will work with all insurance companies.
​We work to ensure the proper repairs to your vehicle.


What about a rental?

We will provide you a rental to be available at our shop, so you don't have to worry about finding other transport. Once your vehicle is finished, just drop off the rental! We have partnered with Hertz, Enterprise, and Kulp to help bring you transportation while your vehicle is being fixed.

What if more damage if found after you quote my repair?

No problem, We'll consult with your insurance company and notify them that the price has increased for the repair, but don't worry - it won't cost you anything extra. Since we are DRP Certified, your insurance company will always accept our quotes. You don't need to worry about extra paperwork, or out of pocket costs.

My vehicle needs towed!

That's 100% fine! We partnered with Hurst Repair to provide 24/7 towing if your vehicle is unable to make it to the shop. They will rescue your car, SUV, or truck and bring it to the shop for repairs and insurance filing. Need a tow ASAP? Call 610-589-2881

How long will a repair estimate take?

We strive to work quickly, so you can get past the accident, and get back to your normal commute. Since we inspect your vehicle through disassembly, we ask for at least 24 hours to finish and finalize your estimate. Once we finish your estimate, we send it off to your insurance company, and promptly start your repair.
